Ingredients

Dough
- 1 bag yeast, about 7g
- 100 ml water, lukewarm
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 300 g Flour, plus some more to dust the surface
- 0.5 tsp Baking powder
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 150 g yoghurt
- 1 tbsp Olive oil

- Garlic
- Coriander

Directions

Activating the Yeast
1. Combine yeast, sugar, and lukewarm water in a glass and stir until dissolved.
2. Set aside for 5-10 minutes or until the top is foamy - this shows it's activated.
Preparing the Dough
1. In the meantime, combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
2. Then add yogurt, olive oil, and the activated yeast.
3. Knead everything into a dough (by hand or electric mixer) until combined. The dough should be slightly sticky.
4. Grease a bowl, place the dough inside, and cover it with a towel.
5. Then let it rest for about 1 hr in a warm place. The dough should have roughly doubled in size.
6. Tip: Heat the oven to 50 degrees, turn it off, and put the covered dough inside.
Shaping and Baking the Naan
1. Divide the dough into 6 parts.
2. Use your fingers or a rolling pin to flatten into the desired shape (typically oval or round). Each piece of bread should be less than 1 cm thick as it puffs up quite a bit when baking.
3. Heat a skillet to high heat.
4. Bake one Naan bread at a time for 3-4 mins on each side.
Garnishing the Naan
1. Melt 1-2 tsp of butter, add thinly chopped garlic and fresh coriander.
2. Brush over the baked Naan bread.
