Ingredients

Meat Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 Large Onion
- 1 Tablespoon Dried oregano, Optional
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 1 Tablespoon Chilli flakes
- 1 Teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Kg Ground meat
- 800 g Chopped tomato
- 0.25 Cup water, If needed
Bechamel Sauce
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 4 Tablespoons All purpose flour
- Pinch Salt
- 3 Cups Milk
Toppings
- Lasagna sheet
- Mozzarella cheese
- Chilli flakes and Oregano

Directions

For the meat sauce
1. In a pan, add olive oil, finely chopped onion, oregano, chopped garlic, chili flakes, pepper, and salt.
2. Saute the onion for 3-5 minutes.
3. Add the ground meat (I used 20% cooked beef) and the tomato (Use canned tomato for the flavor and color).
4. Mix and cook for 30 minutes.
5. Add 1/4 cup water if needed. (It doesn't have to be dry or runny).
For the white sauce
1. In a pan, add butter and let it melt.
2. Add flour and mix until combined.
3. Add milk in 3 batches and mix until combined with no lumps.
4. Cook and mix on medium heat until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
For the lasagna assembly
1. In a loaf pan, add a layer of bechamel sauce, lasagna sheet (Do not have to cook separately), meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
2. Repeat the layers.
3. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 190°C for 45 minutes.
4. Remove the aluminum foil and bake at 190°C for 15 minutes.
5. Optionally sprinkle oregano and chili flakes.
6. Enjoy!
