Ingredients

- 2 lb Ground Turkey Sausage
- 1 Tbs Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Tbs Unsalted butter
- 1 Tbs Garlic
- 1 Medium yellow onion, Diced
- 1 Green Bell Peppers
- 1 cup Carrots, Shredded
- 0.5 tsp Kosher salt, or to taste
- 1.5 tsp Black pepper, or to taste
- 1 tsp Garlic powder, or to taste
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 24 oz Pasta Sauce
- 0.5 cup Heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 lb Rigatoni Pasta

Directions

1. Cook rigatoni pasta according to packaging. I recommend boiling a 1/2 pound of pasta in 4 Quarts of water with 2 Tablespoons Kosher salt + 2 Tablespoons olive oil or 4 quarts of chicken broth and boil until al-dente (about 8-10 minutes).
2. In a large skillet on medium heat, add butter & olive oil. Once butter is melted, add in onion, green bell pepper, and carrots. Cook for about 3 minutes, then add in garlic and continue to cook for another minute.
3. Add in ground sausage, break down and mix with ingredients in the pan. Add in salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cumin, & Italian seasoning. Cook for about 3-5 minutes or until sausage has been cooked.
4. Add in pasta sauce & heavy cream. Mix well and simmer for about 3-5 minutes. Remove sauce from heat, add in parmesan cheese, and mix in well. Let sauce rest for about 3 minutes to thicken. Mix in sauce with cooked rigatoni pasta and enjoy.
