- 1.5 kg Potatoes, with skins on
- 10 pcs Eggs, hard-boiled
- 200 g sausage, diced
- 100 g Bacon, diced
- 3 pcs White onion, heads
- Oil, or fat for frying
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 500 g Sour cream
- 200 g Cheddar cheese, grated

Directions

Prepare Potatoes and Eggs
1. Cook 1.5 kg of potatoes with skins on.
2. Hard-boil 10 eggs.
Prepare Sausage Egg Cream
1. In a pan, fry diced sausage, diced bacon, and white onion in a little oil or fat for about 10 minutes.
2. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Once cooled, add 8 eggs, sour cream (about 500 g), salt, and pepper. Mix until it forms a creamy consistency.
Layering
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
2. Cut the boiled potatoes into 1 cm slices.
3. In a baking dish, create layers as follows: Potatoes, Egg cream, 2 layers of potatoes, Egg cream, 2 layers of potatoes, Egg cream.
Topping
1. Slice the remaining 2 eggs.
2. Dice 50 g of sausage.
3. Grate 200 g of cheddar cheese on top of the layered casserole.
Baking
1. Bake in the preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
Serve
1. Allow the Rakott Krumpli to cool for a few minutes before serving.
2. Slice and enjoy this delicious Hungarian layered potato casserole!
