- 1.75 c All purpose flour
- 0.5 tsp fine sea salt
- 0.25 tsp Baking powder
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 0.667 c Unsalted butter, melted
- 1 c Light brown sugar
- 1 Large egg
- 1 Egg yolk
- 1 c Pumpkin Puree, (NOT pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 0.5 c chopped pecans
- 0.5 c Chocolate chips, (plus 2 tablespoons more for garnish)

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C) and line an 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and pumpkin pie spice. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, stir together the melted butter, sugar, egg, egg yolk, pumpkin purée and vanilla.
4. Add the dry ingredients along with the pecans and chocolate chips, and stir until just combined.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, top with additional chocolate chips and pecans, and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a couple crumbs on it.
6. Let it cool completely before cutting and serving.
