- 1 pork shoulder
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 0.5 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 12-oz. bottle lager
- 1.5 c BBQ sauce
- 8 buns

Directions

Spice Rub Preparation
1. Combine all your spices together to create our spice rub.
2. Cut the pork shoulder into 4 large equal pieces.
3. Cover each piece with the spice rub.
Cooking the Pork
1. Place a trivet in your instant pot & fill with Lager.
2. Place pork pieces on top of the trivet and pressure cook on high for 1 hour.
Shredding and Seasoning the Pork
1. Remove pork from pressure cooker & use 2 forks to break it / shred it apart.
2. Add your favorite BBQ sauce to it as well as some salt & Stir well.
Assembling the Sandwiches
1. Assemble sandwiches to your liking and serve.
