Pork Belly Recipe
- 1.5 lbs pork belly
- 0.25 c whole garlic cloves
- 0.5 c Filipino soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
- Black pepper, to taste
- 3 Bay leaves
- 1 c pickle juice
- Salt, if needed, to taste

Directions

Preparation of Pork Belly
1. Cut pork belly into cubes.
2. In batches, sear the pork belly and reserve.
Garlic Cooking
1. Using the same pot, drain the majority of oil, then cook garlic until it gets some color.
Combining Ingredients
1. Add pork belly, soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and bay leaves.
2. Mix until well combined.
Adding Pickle Juice and Cooking
1. Add pickle juice. Do not stir.
2. Once it comes to a boil, lower heat and wait until it comes to a simmer, then cover the pot and cook for 45 minutes or until tender.
3. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
4. Serve with a bowl of hot white rice and enjoy.
