Ingredients

Main Ingredients
- 6 pounds Beef
- 4 cups Split Chickpeas (Chana Daal)
- 4 large Onions
- 4 tbsp Crushed Garlic
- 4 tbsp Crushed Ginger
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 cup water
Garam Masala (Whole Spices) Blend to a powder form
- 4 Bay leaf
- 6 Black Cardamom
- 1 tsp Cloves
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 1 tbsp Black Pepper Corn
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 2 Star anise
- 4 Whole Mace
- Chili flakes, to taste
Ingredients to add once completely cooked and cooled
- 0.5 Cup Chopped Ginger
- 2 Cups Chopped Mint
- 2 Cups Chopped Cilantro

Directions

Instructions for Cooking and Cooling
1. In a pressure cooker add all the ingredients and whole spices.
2. Mix well and let it cook for 10 minutes.
3. Pressure cook it for 5 more minutes if the meat isn’t tender.
4. Also, let it cook further if there is any liquid left. There shouldn’t be any left or the consistency won’t be firm.
5. Now let it cool down completely before placing it in the fridge overnight.
Instructions for Making Patties and Freezing
1. The next day, add fresh ginger, mint and cilantro.
2. Mix it well and start making the patty.
3. I freeze it on a cookie cooling sheet with wax paper placed under.
4. Once they are completely frozen, I place them in a freezer safe container so it can be enjoyed for weeks.
Instructions for Cooking and Serving
1. When you are ready to consume just coat the patty with scrambled egg before shallow frying it.
2. Perfect side with rice, make a burger or eat it as is.
3. It’s absolutely delicious. Enjoy!
