Ingredients

Main Dish
- 2 pounds ground beef or chicken
- 0.25 c Cooking oil
- 1 Onion, large, chopped
- 2 Potatoes, medium, chopped
- 2 Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp paprika or Kashmiri red chili
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp red chili
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 0.5 c Yogurt
Garnish
- 1 tbsp Ginger, Juliane
- 1 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp jalapeño pepper

Directions

Preparing the Ground Beef
1. Combine ground beef with salt, red chili, paprika, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala.
2. Mix it well and set it aside.
Preparing the Onion and Tomato Mixture
1. Fry onions in a large pan with oil.
2. Cook until light golden brown.
3. Now add crushed ginger garlic.
4. Cook for 3-5 minutes before adding in the tomatoes.
5. Let it cook until tomatoes are softened.
Combining and Cooking the Ingredients
1. Add the spiced meat.
2. Cook for 10 minutes before adding in half a cup of water.
3. Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
4. Then add potatoes and cover for 10 minutes.
5. Add yogurt and cook until the potatoes are tender and the oil separates.
Garnishing
1. Garnish it with julienne ginger, cilantro and jalapeño.
