Ingredients

Oat Layers
- 1.25 cups oat flour
- 1 c Rolled oats
- 0.75 c mashed very ripe banana
- 0.25 c flaxseed meal
- 1 tbsp water, Adjust as needed
- 2 tbsp Almond butter, or tahini for nut-free
- 0.5 tsp Cinnamon
- pinch Salt
Filling
- 6 oz Blueberries, fresh, or frozen (thawed)
- 6 oz Raspberries, fresh, or frozen (thawed)
- 6 oz Blackberries, fresh or frozen (thawed)
- 0.5 c date paste
- 0.5 tsp almond extract
- 1 tbsp arrowroot starch
- pinch sea salt, optional

Directions

Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
2. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
3. Set aside.
Prepare the Oat Layer
1. In a bowl, using a fork, combine oat flour, oats, banana, flaxseed meal, water, almond butter, cinnamon, and salt until combined and crumbly.
Prepare the Filling
1. In a bowl, coarsely crush the berries with a fork.
2. Sprinkle the arrowroot over the berries and stir to combine.
Assemble the Bars
1. Firmly press half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan, evenly pressing down.
2. Spread with the filling.
3. Coarsely crumble the remaining oat mixture over the filling.
Bake 'Em
1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the filling is bubbly and the topping is golden.
Cooling and Cutting
1. Cool completely, in the pan, on a wire rack.
2. Refrigerate until cold.
3. Remove from the pan and cut.
