Ingredients

Macaroni and Cheese
- 0.5 lb macaroni elbow pasta
- 1 tsp Salt
- 4 c water
- 3 c cheddar & mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper, optional
- 1 tbsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 4 c Oil, for frying
Breading
- 1 c Ap flour
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 c Italian-style bread crumbs

Directions

Cook the Pasta
1. Boil macaroni elbow pasta in salted water until al dente.
2. Drain and set aside.
Make the Mac and Cheese Mixture
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
2. Stir until the cheese melts.
3. Season the mixture with garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if using), smoked paprika, and black pepper.
4. Mix well.
Refrigerate Overnight
1. Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a shallow dish.
2. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Shape and Bread
1. The next day, scoop a portion of the mixture and shape it into a ball.
2. Dip the ball into flour, then egg wash, and finally coat with Italian-style bread crumbs.
Fry the Mac and Cheese Balls
1. Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C).
2. Fry the coated mac and cheese balls for approximately 3 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve
1. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
2. Serve the Fried Mac and Cheese Balls hot and enjoy the crispy, cheesy goodness!
