Directions

Preparation
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
Mix Ingredients
1. In a large bowl, start by mashing 3 bananas. Whisk in melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and a pinch salt.
2. Add in sugar, flour, and baking powder to the bowl. Whisk everything together until it forms a smooth batter consistency.
Divide the Batter
1. Plain Batter - Scoop out 1/3 of the batter and set aside.
2. Cocoa Batter - To the remaining 2/3 of the batter, add cocoa powder and mix well.
Layer the Banana Bread
1. Spread half of the cocoa batter into the prepared loaf pan and even it out. Place a layer of the chocolate bar (cut into small pieces) on top.
2. Add in the plain batter as the second layer. Arrange banana slices over the plain batter.
3. Finish with the remaining cocoa batter on top, spread it out evenly. Then sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips on top. Add your favorite nuts if desired.
Bake
1. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Final Steps
1. Once done, remove the pan from the oven and let the banana bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before taking it out.
2. Slice, serve, & enjoy!
