Ingredients

For the sauce
- 1 White onion, chopped
- 3 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper
- 0.5 cup Cherry tomatoes
- 8 oz Tomato paste
- 1 28 oz can Tomato sauce
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Black pepper
- 1 Tbs Sugar
- 2 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 4 leaf frehs basil
- 3 Tbs Olive oil
For the lasagna
- 2 lb Ground beef
- 4 Italian sausages
- 16 oz Mozzarella cheese
- 16 oz Cheddar cheese
- 1 16 oz box lasagna noodles
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 0.25 cup Heavy cream
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 1 15 oz container Ricotta
- 1 8 oz container Mascarpone

Directions

1. For the sauce
2. In a medium sized pot on medium heat, add olive oil.
3. Once hot, add the onions and peppers. Cook until translucent.
4. Add in tomatoes and garlic and cook until softened.
5. Use an immersion blender to mix everything together.
6. Add tomato paste and tomato sauce and mix.
7. Add seasonings to taste.
8. For the lasagna
9. In a large pot, add water and boil.
10. Once the water is boiled, add olive oil, salt, and lasagna noodles. Cook until al dente.
11. Set a saucepan on the stove on medium heat.
12. Add ground beef and cook.
13. Remove ground beef from the pan and cook down Italian sausages.
14. Remove sausages from the pan and drain the meat.
15. Add sausages and ground beef back to the pan and add seasonings.
16. Add sauce and heavy cream and mix until well incorporated.
17. In a large bowl, add ricotta, two eggs, and mascarpone.
18. Mix until well incorporated.
19. Grab a long casserole pan and layer your lasagna (meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, cheese, and repeat).
20. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes covered with aluminum foil, and the remaining 10 minutes uncovered.
21. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10-15 minutes.
22. Serve and enjoy!
