Ingredients

Jjajangmyeon
- 0.5 lb pork butt
- 1 c cabbage
- 1 c Zucchini, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 0.5 White onion, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
- 3 clove Garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1.25 tbsp black bean paste
- 2 tbsp cornstarch or potato starch
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 0.5 c Cucumber, julienned
- fresh jjajangmyeon noodles

Directions

Preparing the Pork and Vegetables
1. Heat 1 tbsp cooking oil in your non-stick pan.
2. Add the pork belly and cook for 4-5 minutes or until no longer pink.
3. Add all your vegetables - cabbage, zucchini, white onion, and garlic. Saute for 3 minutes.
Preparing the Black Bean Sauce
1. Clear a space in the center and add 2 tbsp oil.
2. Add the black bean paste and cook for 1 minute.
3. Then combine everything in the wok until fully combined.
4. Add 2 cups of water and close the lid. Allow to cook for 10 minutes.
5. Open the lid and add your cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
6. Add the sesame oil. Turn off the heat.
Cooking the Jjajangmyeon Noodles
1. Cook the jjajangmyeon noodles according to package instructions.
Serving the Dish
1. To serve, add noodles to each bowl and ladle the thick black bean sauce on top.
2. Add julienned cucumber on top as garnish and enjoy.
