Ingredients

Keema Ingredients
- 2 lbs Lean Ground Beef
- 1 Bread Slice
- 1 tbsp roasted chickpeas
- 1 Onion Purée
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 2 tbsp Crushed Cilantro
- 1 tbsp Raw Papaya Paste
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Whole Spice Powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
Gravy Ingredients
- 0.5 Cup Cooking oil
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 3 Cardamom
- 2 Cloves
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Corn
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Cup Yogurt + 1 Cup Water Combo
- 4 Large Onion Purée
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 8 Boiled Eggs

Directions

Instructions for making meatballs (kofte)
1. In a mixing bowl add ground beef, spices, crushed onion, chopped cilantro, crushed papaya, ground roasted chickpeas and homemade breadcrumbs.
2. Mix well and make meatballs (kofte).
3. Set it aside.
Instructions for making the sauce
1. In a hot pan add oil and whole spices, let it fry for 30 seconds.
2. Then add crushed onion and cook until it becomes translucent.
3. Then add ginger/garlic paste.
4. Cook that for 5 minutes.
5. Then add spices.
6. After stirring for a minute add in the yogurt.
7. Mix well and let it cook for 10 minutes.
8. Then add water and let it boil for 5 minutes before adding in the kofte and letting it cook with lid on for 20-30 minutes, checking in between.
9. Don’t over mix or they might break.
Final steps
1. Once cooked, sprinkle some garam masala for aroma and that also goes for the garnishing of chopped cilantro.
2. Serve an egg (sliced in half) on the side.
3. Goes perfectly with naan.
