- 0.5 c corn syrup
- 0.25 c water
- 0.25 tsp flavored extract
- red food coloring
- non-stick cooking spray
- candy thermometer
- candy molds
- butter spray

Directions

Preparation of Candy Molds
1. Spray your candy molds with butter spray.
Creating the Candy Mixture
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat.
2. Do not stir as it will disrupt the candy process.
3. Instead, use a basting brush dipped in cold water to brush the inside edges of the pot to prevent it from crystalizing.
4. Do this until it reaches 300 degrees F on a candy thermometer (this should take about 10-15 minutes).
Adding Flavor and Color
1. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the flavored extract and food coloring.
Filling the Molds
1. Carefully pour the mixture into a heatproof measuring cup.
2. Pour the mixture into your molds.
Cooling and Storing the Candy
1. Let the candy cool and harden completely for at least a half hour.
2. Once they are cool, take them out of the molds and place them in an airtight container.
Serving the Candy
1. Serve and enjoy.
