- 6 Russet potatoes, medium
- 3 clove Garlic, crushed
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 c Heavy cream
- 1 c Milk
- 1.5 c shredded cheddar cheese
- Thyme, bunch
- 1 c Cherry tomatoes, sliced
- 1 tbsp Butter

Directions

Preparation of Potatoes
1. Peel, wash and thinly slice the potatoes.
2. Place them in a shallow water bath to remove extra starch.
3. Dry the sliced potatoes with a towel before using.
Preparation of Cream Mixture
1. In a cup, add heavy cream and milk.
2. Then add crushed garlic, salt and pepper.
3. Mix well.
Layering and Baking
1. In a baking dish, add a thin layer of potato slices.
2. Then gently pour the heavy cream mixture and a layer of cheese with some thyme.
3. Repeat this process 3-4 times.
4. The top layer will be a generous amount of cheese and thyme.
5. Cover and bake it in the middle rack of the oven at 350 for 30 minutes.
6. Then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes on the top rack of the oven to get that golden cheese crust.
Final Touch
1. Melt some butter and fry sliced cherry tomatoes for 1 minute on medium high heat.
2. Immediately place it on the cheesy crust.
