- 16 oz tofu, firm or extra firm
- 2 nori sheets
- 0.75 cup Corn starch, for coating
- 3 tbsp Oil
Sauce
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp Corn starch
- 0.25 cup water

Directions

1. Drain the tofu and pat it dry with a towel. Cut tofu lengthwise in half, then crosswise into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
2. Cut the nori sheet into approx. 2”x 4” strips depending on the size of the tofu pieces. Carefully wrap each tofu piece with a nori strip. The nori will naturally adhere to the tofu as it releases moisture.
3. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl, mix well to create the sauce.
4. Add the cornstarch (3/4 cup) to a shallow plate. Dip each tofu piece in the cornstarch, ensuring all sides are covered. Shake off any excess cornstarch.
5. Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tofu pieces in a single layer and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn golden and crispy. Avoid moving the tofu pieces while frying.
6. Reduce the heat to medium-low then pour the prepared sauce over the tofu. Turn off the heat once the sauce starts to simmer and slightly thicken. Flip the tofu pieces once more to ensure even coverage with the sauce.
7. Serve hot and enjoy over a bowl of steamed rice.
