Creamy Bacon & Mushroom on Toast Recipe (with Video)

1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
2. Add diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
3. Add bacon pieces and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the bacon is fully cooked and some of the fat has rendered.
4. Add in the sliced mushrooms and cook for about a minute until the mushrooms are soft.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and add in the American cheese.
6. Cook until the cream has thickened and the cheese melted over low-medium heat.
7. Remove from heat and serve the creamy bacon and mushroom mixture over a couple pieces of toast.
8. Garnish with dried parsley before serving if desired.
