Ingredients

Crab Cake Ingredients
- 1 lb Jumbo Lump Crab
- 1 Large egg
- 0.5 c Mayonnaise
- 0.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Shallot, minced
- 2 tbsp Fresh Italian Parsley
- 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
- 2 tsp Fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
- dash Paprika
- Salt, to taste

Directions

Prepare the Shallots
1. Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add the diced shallots and sauté until they become soft, which should take less than 5 minutes.
3. Set them aside to cool slightly.
Preheat the Oven
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Prepare the Crab Mixture
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, parsley, lemon juice, and the previously cooked shallots.
2. Whisk these ingredients together until they are fully incorporated.
3. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning with a pinch of salt if necessary.
4. Gently fold in the jumbo lump crab meat using a spatula or wooden spoon, taking care not to break apart the crab lumps.
Prepare for Baking
1. Spoon the crab mixture into a small cast iron skillet, 3-4 ramekins (depending on their size), or a small baking dish.
2. Pour the vinegar evenly over the crab mixture and lightly sprinkle a dash of paprika on top.
Bake and Serve
1. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until the top becomes golden brown.
2. Serve with toasted baguette slices and enjoy!
