- 0.75 c Unsalted butter, cold
- 0.5 c Granulated sugar, plus more for rolling
- 0.5 c light brown sugar, tightly packed
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 0.25 c Cocoa powder
- 0.25 c Chocolate, melted
- 2 c Flour, all purpose or gluten free
- Hershey kisses

Directions

Preparation
1. First, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Mixing the Ingredients
1. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add cold butter, sugar and brown sugar.
2. Mix on high for 2 to 3 minutes, until completely creamy.
3. Mix until no clumps of butter remain.
4. Add in vanilla and egg.
5. Stir to combine.
6. Then, add in baking powder, cocoa powder and melted chocolate.
7. Stir to combine.
8. Add in the flour.
9. Stir to combine.
Forming and Baking the Cookies
1. Add about 3 tablespoons of white sugar to a shallow bowl.
2. Roll cookie dough into 1 inch balls.
3. Roll each ball thoroughly in the white sugar.
4. Place on baking pan at least 2 inches apart.
5. These cookies spread slightly.
6. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes or until cookies look set around the edges.
Finishing Touches
1. Remove from oven.
2. Immediately press an unwrapped Hershey kiss in the middle of each cookie.
3. Finally, allow cookies to fully cool before eating.
