Ingredients

- 500 g Wheat flour
- 5 g Instant yeast
- 10 g Powdered Milk
- 10 g Salt
- 25 g Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 100 g Butter, room temperature
- 175 ml Water
- 120 g Cream cheese
- 1 Tbs Chives, chopped
- 0.25 cup Sunflower seeds, toasted and chopped

Directions

1. In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, powdered milk, salt and sugar, until fully incorporated. Make a small hole in the center and add butter, one egg and a splash of water. Slowly knead the mixture and add more water if needed. Once you have a smooth dough, transfer to a floured work station and keep kneading until smooth. Shape into a ball and transfer to a bowl. Let it rest for 15 minutes or until it doubles in size. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese with chives and sunflower seeds; shape into small balls and refrigerate.
2. Pre-heat your oven to 180ºC/250ºF.
3. Take the dough out of the bowl and split into small pieces, shaping them into small circles. Place a small cheese ball in the center and wrap with the dough, rolling into a bun shape again. Spread your buns in a greased baking tray and let them rest for 15 minutes or until they double in size. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sunflower seeds.
4. Bake for 20 minutes, share and enjoy.
Tip:
1. If you over-knead the dough, you can get a tough bread, once it starts to come off your hands easily, it’s ready.
