Directions

Preparation of Chocolate and Butter Mixture
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Chop chocolate into small pieces and melt butter over a Bain-Marie bath (a bowl placed over a saucepan with hot water) or in the microwave at 30-second increments.
3. Add the chocolate to the melted butter and stir using a rubber spatula until the chocolate is melted and thoroughly combined with the butter.
Mixing of Wet and Dry Ingredients
1. Using a mixer, combine the egg and sugar. Mix for 4-5 minutes to incorporate as much air as possible.
2. While the wet ingredients are mixed, combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl using a whisk.
3. Once the egg and sugar are done mixing, add the melted chocolate and stir by hand in a folding motion.
4. Once combined, add the wet ingredients and stir again.
5. Let this dough rest refrigerated for 20-30 minutes.
Baking the Cookies
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and divide the dough into 5-6 cookies with the help of a scoop.
2. Place them separately because they will expand in the oven.
3. Sprinkle sea salt on top (optional) and bake for 10 minutes.
4. Cool down and enjoy.
