- 1 tbsp Baking soda
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Hot sauce, adjust according to your spice preference
- 3 tbsp Coconut aminos, or soy sauce as an alternative

Directions

Instructions for Beef and Broccoli Skewers Preparation
1. In a large bowl, combine the beef pieces with baking soda, coconut aminos, hot sauce, and sesame oil, (saving some for veggies) ensuring each piece is coated evenly.
2. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. The baking soda will help tenderize the beef.
3. While the beef is marinating, bring a pot of water to a boil.
4. Add the broccoli florets and blanch them for about 2 minutes, until they turn bright green.
5. Drain the broccoli and set it aside.
6. Add the broccoli florets, and onion chunks to the rest of the marinade, ensuring everything is evenly coated.
7. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Building the Skewers
1. Build the skewers.
2. Place the skewers on the preheated grill or under the broiler, and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
3. Rotate the skewers occasionally for even cooking.
4. Remove the skewers from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
Serving Suggestion
1. Serve the beef and broccoli skewer over a combo of brown and black rice.
2. Enjoy.
