- 480 g Almond flour
- 43 g Cane sugar
- 32 g Cocoa powder
- 0.5 tsp Baking soda
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 4 Eggs, room temperature
- 96 g Maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
- 1 bunch berries
Icing
- 3.5 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- 0.5 c Butter, room temperature
- 1.5 c Powdered sugar

Directions

Instructions for Cake Preparation
1. Preheat your oven to 350°.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside.
3. Next, in a separate bowl, whisk eggs, maple syrup and vanilla extract with an electric mixer for 3-4 minutes.
4. Then combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix it with a spatula.
5. Line one 9” round cake pans with parchment paper and then pour batter into the pan.
6. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Leave cake in the pan for 10 minutes before carefully placing it onto a cooling rack.
8. Wait until cakes have completely cooled before icing it. I usually leave it in the fridge overnight.
Instructions for Icing Preparation
1. For the icing, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil and microwave it for 30 seconds durations until completely melted.
2. Now gently add the powdered sugar stirring occasionally.
3. Now add butter to a bowl and start mixing it with an electric mixer.
4. Continue mixing until icing has formed. It should be thick and fluffy.
5. Now place a large dollop of icing on the cake then use a spatula to smooth icing overtop.
6. Add some berries to make it look very delicious!
7. Cut and enjoy!
