- 1 salmon fillet
- Rice, leftover
- salad greens
- Olive oil
- salt and pepper
- Chicken Broth
- Honey
- Balsamic vinegar

Directions

Preparing the Salmon Fillets
1. Pat dry the salmon fillets with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
2. Rub olive oil on both sides of the salmon fillets, and season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat a pan over medium heat with no additional oil, to sear the skin side of the salmon.
4. Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan and cook for approximately 5 minutes until the skin becomes crispy.
5. Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook on the other side (muscle side) for about 3 minutes or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
6. Remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest.
Making the Balsamic Glaze
1. Deglaze the pan with a splash of chicken broth to collect the flavorful bits.
2. In the same pan, add a mix of honey and balsamic vinegar.
3. Allow it to simmer and thicken until it coats the back of a spoon, creating a glaze.
Plating and Serving
1. While the glaze is thickening, plate the salmon alongside your leftover rice and a side salad made from your choice of greens.
2. Pour the balsamic glaze over the seared salmon.
3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the entire dish.
